Everything about Botox Injections

Botox injections are quite common. Everyone in the health care industry is performing Botox injections. Besides health care professionals, just as many non health care individuals are into the business of Botox- simply because there is a lot of money involved. Botox injections can be performed in a few minutes in any salon, spa or a clinic.

What happens at the clinic?

You sit down, your face is rinsed, and the area of injection is marked. The injections are done with a very fine needle

Do Botox injections hurt?

Yes, the injections do hurt but are not very painful. The pain only lasts a few seconds. If the injections do become painful, it means that the health professional has injured a nerve.

How many injections does one require?

The number of injections is variable and depends on area, extent, depth of wrinkles and facial features. Some areas of face may require 2-4 injections and other areas may require more. In most individuals, 10-15 injections may be required to erase wrinkles.

Is there any downtime after Botox injections?

Generally, no. After the injections, there is rapid recovery and no downtime. One may develop some mild bruising or swelling which rapidly disappears. One can resume normal activities right after the procedure

Are there any precautions after Botox injections?

One should not rub areas where injections have been made. This can push the toxin to migrate into different parts of the face
