Fine lines and wrinkles: part 2

First, there is no permanent cure for wrinkles and fine lines. There is no cosmetic cream, lotion, or potion that can than erase these skin ailments. Surgery is hazardous and can make you look worse. Moreover, treatments for fine lines and wrinkles are not a cheap undertaking. Nothing is ever less than a hundred bucks and lasers cost thousands. Cost is an important role in deciding with whom you will end up as your provider.

Perhaps the best treatment today is Botox. It really works and there is no argument about it. The fine lines and wrinkles do disappear for a few months. Do not believe anyone who tell you that Botox will last more than a few months. The treatment is affordable for one session but repeat treatments can cost a fortune. Today, everyone is into Botox- there is also fake Botox, diluted Botox and there are Botox parties. The best way to get your Botox injection is to buy the vial yourself and get someone to inject you. Many unscrupulous health care workers charge you for a whole vial, use only a little on you and use the rest on other people. Every one gets charged for the whole vial- such is life in cosmetics.

When it comes to topical creams and lotions, perhaps Retinoids are the best. These vitamin A derived products do act as peeling agents and can erase very fine lines. Retinoids cannot erase wrinkles. Excessive application of Retinoids can lead to skin irritation, dryness, and peeling. One has to apply retinoid regularly for a long time.

Further, when going out a sunscreen is highly recommended because Retinoids do react with sunlight and can cause excessive skin pigmentation.
