Well, sometimes never. These peels do not work in everyone and not everyone has the same result. Some individuals only have a mild improvement, and others may have a dramatic improvement. The maximum benefits of glycolic acid peel are usually seen after 8-10 weeks. When skin improvement occurs, the new skin is much younger looking, smooth, and radiant.

Are effects of glycolic acid permanent?

Definitely not. In some cases, the cosmetic benefits only last a few weeks and in others a few months. There is no chemical peel which produces a permanent change in skin cosmesis, unless you have a complication.

Can glycolic acid cause complication?
